He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernardino Gomez and Isabel Holguin; and his son Benito Gomez. He is survived by: his wife Maria Ana Loya; his children, Jose Joaguin Gomez, Javier Gomez, Oscar Gomez, Bertha Alicia Gomez, Maria Del Carmen Gomez and Patricia Gomez; and his siblings, Moises Gomez, Ruben Gomez, Rosario Gomez and Celilia Gomez. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
