It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alta Pettis (Hugoton, Kansas), born in Dodge City, Kansas, who passed away on November 18, 2018, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph N. Ponder and Willo Marylee Ponder (Washington); her brother Joseph N. Ponder; and her children, Christopher Pettis, Carmen Sue Scott and Allecia Jane Hughes.
She is survived by: her son William Edward Oliver Jr.; and her grandchildren, Regina Oliver-Walls of William Oliver, Tine Schavers, Darick Oliver, Michelle Palmer, Marqueta Reece and Shawna Hughes. She is also survived by many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
