It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carolyn Metcalf of Hoyt, Kansas, who passed away on December 21, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Gilliland and Estella Gilliland (Bane); and her brother Ronald Gilliland. She is survived by: her former husband William L. Greenwood of Carlton, KS; her husband Donald E. Metcalf; her children, Debra A. Newell of Gainesville, FL, Craig Greenwood (Sheila) of Chandler, AZ and Bret Greenwood of Plainville; her stepchildren, Michael Metcalf (Susanne) of Topeka, KS, Andrew Metcalf (Karen) of Topeka, KS, David Metcalf (Lisa) of Saginaw, TX and Rachael Boyd (Matt) of Tulsa, OK; her brother Barry Gilliland (Donna) of Plainville; and her sister-in-law Mary Lou Gilliland (Ronald) of Plainville. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
