She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Karnes and Ida Nell Karnes (Schropp); her husbands, Verl Mowry and Gary Peter; her brother Vic Karnes; her stepson Vern Mowry; and her stepgrandson Vess Mowry.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas Babcock (Dalene) of Hoxie, Kansas, Susan Ellmore (John) of Garden City and Kristine Babcock of Hoxie, Kansas; her stepchildren, Tom Peter, Tony Peter and Jeni Duerksen; her sister Judith Weeks of Hoxie, Kansas; and her sister-in-law Ardith Karnes of Hoxie, Kansas. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
