She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Wasserman and Sophie Wasserman (Friedrichs); her husband Herman Niermeier; her brother Gilbert; her sister-in-law Edith Wasserman; her sisters, Lucille (Oscar Hesterberg) and Evelyn (Loyal Packer); her son-in-law Andrew Ayala; and her great great grandchild Andrew Ayala V..
She is survived by: her children, Stan Niermeier of Colby, Vi Wegele (Randy) of Wakeeney, Judy Ayala of McKinney, Gary Niermeier, Fred Niermeier (Nancy) and Dave Niermeier (Shirley) of Hoxie, Kansas. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home (1024 Sheridan Ave, Hoxie, KS 67740). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church - Hoxie (1400 Locust St, Hoxie, KS 67740). A burial was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery (1400 Locust St, Hoxie, KS 67740).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Sheridan County Benefit Walk or the Sheridan County Long Term Care Activities Department and may be sent to the family in care of Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, PO Box 987, Hoxie, Kansas 67740.
