He is survived by: his wife Judi Hedrick of Concordia; his children, Lorelei "Lori", Lori Halfhide (Scott) of Concordia and Matt Thomas (Tina) of Horton; his grandsons, Kody, Kasey Halfhide of Concordia and Connor Thomas of Horton; and his siblings, Jean Thoma (Gary) of Perry, KS, Joan Dannenberg (Charlie) of Holton, KS, Joyce Martin (Harold) of Valley Falls, KS, Mary Thompson (Steve) of Valley Falls and Larry Thomas (Pat) of Greenwood, MO..

The family suggests donations in his memory to be made to Heart of Jackson Humane Society, Inc in Holton and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
