He was predeceased by: his mother Virginia Scheid; his daughter Elizabeth Scheid; his grandchild Atlas Layfield; and his sisters, Janice Scheid and Dianna Brewer.
He is survived by: his wife Lori Scheid; his children, Lyra Pennington (Clint) of Locust Grove, Treysten Scheid (Shara Koenen) of Atchison and Tylor Layfield (Autumn) of Shawnee; and his sister Denise Fassnacht (Randy) of Horton. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
