She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Eugene Gruber and Armilda Lucas Gruber; her husband Doyle Wayne Howell; her children, Mary Ann Congdon (Mark) of Milan, Tennessee, Michael Wayne (Holta) of Monroe and Matthew Wayne Howell of Horton, Kansas; and her siblings, Eldon Gruber of Roca, Bruce Gruber of Salem, David Gruber of Molalla, Oregon, Eugenia Hawks of Lexington, Verna Mae Goad of Salem and Nancy Holscher of Bertrand, Nebraska. She was also cherished by four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church and may be sent in care of the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary.
