He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlof C. Hansen and Caroline Laverentz Hansen; and his brother Harold Hansen. He is survived by: his wife Charlene Vogel; his grandsons, Andrew John, Kristopher Benton and Jackson Wayne; his son Dr. Gary Hansen (Dana); his great grandchild Nora Jo; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Hansen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Endowment Fund of the Horton United Methodist Church and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
