He was predeceased by: his parents, James Johnson and Jane Masqua Johnson; his wife Linda Page; and his son Dudley Johnson Jr. Drum. He is survived by: his children, Catherine Martinez of Horton, Clarinda Deoppke of Hiwasse, Michelle Johnson of Horton, Kansas and Rodney Johnson of Sabetha, Kansas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren.
