Virginia L. Nelson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia L. Nelson of Holton, Kansas, born in Soldier, Kansas, who passed away on December 27, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John "Jack" Segrist and Inez Armstrong Segrist; her husband James E. "Jim" Nelson; her children, J. D. Nelson, Jackie Begesse and Pam Forrister; her grandson George Ener; and her siblings, Duane Segrist, Warren Segrist, Galen Segrist and Regina Heckman.
She is survived by: her children, Rodney Stroup (Sharon), Rose Ener (Claud) of Pasadena, TX and Gayla Gurley (Vaughn) of Gary, TX; her son-in-law Herman Begesse; her siblings, Fred Segrist (Billie), Donna Kay Murrow (Gene) and Mona McManigal; and her sister-in-law Shirley Segrist. She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
