It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita A. Darveaux of Holton, Kansas, born in Dawson, Nebraska, who passed away on August 9, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sabastian John and Mary C. Koelzer (Alfers); her husband Bernard "Bunny" Darveaux; her sons, Glenn J. and Darrell J. Darveaux; her grandson Tyler Darveaux; and her siblings, Dorothy Koelzer Kerl, Marjorie Kopf, Bernard, Jerry and Robert Koelzer.
She is survived by: her children, Gerald J. Darveaux (Lori) of Valley Falls, KS, Cindy A. Darveaux of Nortonville, KS, Bill J. Darveaux (Terri) of Holton, KS, Cathryn A. Lauer (Andrew John) of Meriden, KS and Bernard J. "B. J."; and her sister Mary E. "Typ" Simpson of Omaha, NE. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
