He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe "Earl" Askren and Jennie May Askren (Simmons); and his brother Lawrence Askren. He is survived by: his sons, Dr. Misha Askren (Ruth) of Los Angeles, CA, David Askren of St. Johnsbury, VT and Dr. Russell Askren (Lynn); his sister Daisy M. Wright (Ed) of Yuma, AZ; and his close friend Thersa Wade of Holton, KS. He is also survived by 7 granddaughters; 2 grandsons and 11 great-grandchildren.
