Lyle Dean Sloop Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 23, 2022, at the age of 95, Lyle Dean Sloop of Holton, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle L. Sloop and Berneita Vesta Sloop (Fanning); his siblings, Rose Ann Sloop, Berneita Jean Burns-Johnson and Don Sloop; his son-in-law Stanley Matzke; his grandson Micheal Sloop; his nephews, Scott Sloop and Cory Sloop; and his niece Jima Hope.
He is survived by: his wife Lois; his children, L. D., Lois, Marlo Cleaners, Gary Sloop (Andrea) of Donna, TX, Keith Sloop (Sun) of Holton, KS and Victoria Matzke of Blaine, KS; his siblings, Evelyn Hope-Jones of Topeka, KS, Eula Nitcher (Kenny) of Pomona, KS, Norma Miller (Gary) of Lecompton, KS, Kathy Tevis (Don) of Emporia, KS, Kenneth Sloop (Ann) of Topeka, KS, Dale Sloop (Pat) of Bel Air, MD, Bill Sloop (Joan) of Osage City, KS and Arlon Sloop (Frances) of Kansas City, KS; and his grandchildren, Michele Nimmo (Matthew), Mark Sloop (Virginia), Laura Staufenberg, Lindsey Garcia (Miguel Angel), Tracy Mercer (Chris), Scott Sloop (Rosie), Heather Westpfahl (Jason), Kevin Sloop, Kristine Meier (Craig), Carrie Ross (Travis) and Trixie Falke (Jake). He is also survived by 33 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
