He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert V. Jr. Barber and Rita Brennan Barber; his children, Katie Pittaway and Matthew Barber; and his brothers, Michael, Tim and Mark Barber.
He is survived by: his children, Shawn Svoboda-Barber (Helen), John Paul Barber, Jr. (Erin), Howard, Rusty Fritz (Tracy) and Laurie Ogle; his grandchildren, Dylan, Gavin, Kyle, Emilie, Aaron, Jordan, Dallas, Rylan, Zainder, Baker, Branson, Amelia, Luke and Nora; and his siblings, Rita Ann Craig (Bill), Rob Barber, Chris Barber and Danny Barber. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
