He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Benjamin and Mary Eliza Royer (Miller); and his brother Ralph Royer. He is survived by: his wife Benita Louise Dick; his children, Adam Royer (Heather) of Cottage Grove, MN, Megan Royer of Valley Falls, KS, Lora Royer of Bend, OR, Lisa Royer-Miller (James) of Manhattan, KS, Eric Royer (Kirstin) of Valley Falls, KS, John Royer (Amanda) of Russellville, OH, Emma Royer of Holton, KS and Mark Royer (Paige) of Nortonville, KS; and his sister Lois Royer-Starbuck of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Mercer Funeral Home (810 Broadway St, Valley Falls, KS 66088). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at the Evergreen Cemetery.
