He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Lee and May Irene Askren (Wilkerson); his siblings, Bonnie J. Strader and Don Askren; and his granddaughter Kendra Askren.
He is survived by: his wife Ilah Rose; his children, Kent M. Askren (Jackie) of Rossville and Lesa L Beam (Mike) of St. George, KS; his sisters-in-law, Renae Askren of Holton and Cletamae Brown of Holton; his grandchildren, Megan Steiner (Weston), Garin Beam (Ashley), Skyler Beam (Darbey), Seavor Askren, Spensor Askren (Jessilyn) and Sawyor Askren (Paola); and his great grandchildren, Macy, Kason, Cannon, Ellie, Baker, Trace, Cooper, Ayla, Ike and KendriAnn.
