He is survived by: his wife Jolene Edith Wheeler of Luke's Lutheran Church; his daughters, Jessica Brauer (Morris Rodriguez) of Emporia, KS and Nicole Wilson (Jonathon) of Manhattan, KS; his siblings, Anna Kendall (Chris) of Garfield, AR, Trevia Bussell (Scott) of Imperial, NE and Brad Brauer (Denise) of North Platte, NE; his mother-in-law Joann Wheeler of Dover, KS; and his stepgrandsons, Gabriel and Daniel Rodriguez.
The lying in state was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Mercer Funeral Home (1101 W 4th St, Holton, KS 66436). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Evangel Church (227 Pennsylvania Ave, Holton, KS 66436). A burial was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Sunrise Cemetery (2901 Stagg Hill Rd, Manhattan, KS 66502).
