She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell McKenzie and Edith Mae Slimmer (Brown); and her siblings, Mack Slimmer, Mildred Slimmer, Gordon Slimmer, Lawrence Slimmer and Norma Chatman (Slimmer). She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great, and great-great nephews and nieces.
The lying in state was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Mercer Funeral Home (1101 W 4th St, Holton, KS 66436). Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at the Holton Cemetery (11999 Highway K16, Holton, KS 66436).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be given to the Holton First United Methodist Church or the Holton VFW Auxiliary – 1367 c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
