He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Algrim and Isile Fern Rose Algrim; and his brother Billy Algrim. He is survived by: his wife Carla Algrim of Garden City; his sons, Dustin (Jillian Algrim) and Derek (Kmwee Algrim); his grandson Eli Algrim of Holcomb; his siblings, Tim Algrim of Dodge City and Tamara Carter of Ulysses, One; his stepmother Arlene Algrim of Garden City; his stepsiblings, Tim Burnett of Texas, One and Debbie Dunlap of Garden City; and his cousin Friends.
