He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew T. Thummel and Rita L. Thummel (Fox); and his siblings, Juliann C. Thummel Huckabay and Stephen N. Thummel. He is survived by: his daughters, Megan J. Dvorak (John) and Jessica A. Thummel; and his sister Mary K. Ricke (Steven). He is also survived by four grandsons.
