She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvie Vernon and Atha Mae Gilkey (Simpson); and her sisters, Verna Jean Gilkey, Izora S. Gilkey-Dixon and Carolyn L. Gilkey.
She is survived by: her children, John V. Howard of Potwin, Michael A. Howard of Wichita, Loretta M. Howard of Hoisington and Stephanie L. Howard of Wichita; her sister Arnetta Crawford of Wichita; and her grandchildren, Michael Jr., Rhiannon, Amanti, Tamari, Lunjai, Z'Kara, Ruby, Bruce and Oliver.
