It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sheldon Edsel O'Connor of Hoisington, Kansas, who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John O'Connor and Gladys O'Connor (Edson); his stepson David Eaves; and his siblings, June Baker, Leona Miller, Eddie O'Connor, Phyllis Drake and Johnnie O'Conner.
He is survived by: his wife Karen O'Connor; his stepchildren, Kenny Eaves (Teddi Snow) of Hoisington and Mandy Turner (James) of Great Bend; his sister Gladys Lehman of Smith Center; his grandchildren, Shania Hillegeist (Nathan) of Hoisington, Emily Turner (Leeland Martindale) of Topeka and Lindsay Turner (Tom Gregg) of Ellinwood; and his great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Macie, Carter, Bella, Luna and Elliot.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home (415 N Main St, Hoisington, KS 67544). A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church (2123 Forest Ave, Great Bend, KS 67530).
