She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Penka and Teresia Penka (Zoth); and her siblings, Dan Penka and Mary Theresa. She is survived by: her husband Jim Roper; her son Jeremy McKowski of Boulder, Colorado; and her siblings, Tom Penka (Bonita) of Olmitz, Kansas, Kathy Brock (Gail) of Great Bend and Dorothy Fercking (Ron) of Hoisington, Kansas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
