It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Esther Marie Karst of Hoisington, Kansas, who passed away on November 14, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Siegmund Dietz and Ida M. Dietz (Deines); her husband Ralph L. Karst; her son Stanley Karst; her siblings, Edwin, Luther Dietz, Rosa Nulik, Helen Landon and Leona Kauffman; and her granddaughter Amy Hoban.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory Karst of Lincoln and Melinda Kershaw (John) of Wichita; her brother Markus Dietz (Caroline) of McPherson; her grandchildren, Kimberly Taylor Epley of Andover, Jessica Harrison (John) of Seattle, Sheila Heiman (Adam) of Topeka and Sierra Karst of Omaha; her great grandchildren, Amber Kershaw, Emma, Jack Taylor, Kayla, Tyler Harrison, Bryce and Blake Heiman; her great great grandchildren, Tayton Wingelaar and Nathaniel Hernandez; and her daughter-in-law Joyce Duryea (Stanley) of Topeka. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Attendees at the visitation and funeral service are asked to follow COVID-19 precautions of face coverings and social distancing.
