He was predeceased by: his parents, Edd Karst and Charlotte Karst (Dumler); his former wife Hilda E. Herbel; his wife Helen E. Miller; and his siblings, Paul Karst and Isabelle Dumler.
He is survived by: his daughters, Janice Terry (David) of Overland Park and Susan LaFaver of Greeley, Colorado; his sister Pauline Ray of Junction City; and his granddaughters, Amy La Faver of Venice and Angela Walts of Odessa, Texas..
