It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cecil Orliss Cheney of Hoisington, Kansas, who passed away on February 24, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cheney and Rosa Cheney (Myers); and his brothers, Harold, Kenneth, Eugene, Jerry and Raymond.
He is survived by: his wife Leona Cheney; his daughters, Carolyn Mitchell (Jim) of Prescott, Ariz and Jolene Sparks (Darrel) of Perry, Okla.; his grandchildren, Shari Carter (Darrin), Daren Sparks (Laurie), Amy Mitchell and Wesley Sparks (Lindsey); his great grandchildren, Braydan (Lauren), Cassidy, Cale, Kendall and Lincoln; and his great great grandchild Paisley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
