Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Alta Ruth Cochrane of Hoisington, Kansas, who passed away at the age of 98, on November 25, 2022. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Leroy and Mary Alta Peterson; her husband Joe Cochrane; and her sister Carol Seek. She is survived by: her children, Barbara Osborn (Ed), Bob Cochrane (Merry), Larry Cochrane (Alison) and Cindy Swanson (Dave); her sister Dorothy Huddleston; and her grandchildren, Brian Osborn, Derek Osborn, Tina Firgens, Lisa Pflughoeft-Goetz and Diana Brooks. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruth also played golf, delivered Meals on Wheels, knitted baby caps and lap blankets for RSVP, and was a volunteer for Argonne Rebels.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Meals on Wheels, Clara Barton Hospital Foundation, or your favorite charity, in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, PO Box 146, Hoisington, KS 67544.
