With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Velma Funk (Hillsboro, Kansas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 11, 2025 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry P Krehbiel and Emma Krehbiel (Kaufman); her husband Karl; and her siblings, Alvin, Leonard, Marvin, Orville, Gene (Elsie), Floyd and Ruby Brewer.
She is survived by: her uncle Sandy; her aunt Elma Albrecht; her friend Virleen Goering; and her children, Carla Jean, Dennis Ray, Merlin Dale and Marlene Kay. She is also survived by Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church (300 Prairie Pointe Ct, Hillsboro, KS 67063). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
