We are sad to announce that on December 8, 2021, at the age of 88, Paul H Backhus in Hillsboro, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Backhus and Martha Backhus (Meyer); his siblings, Vic Backhus, Alvin Backhus, Martin Backhus, Emma Paulson and Mildred Bernhardt; and his son-in-law Tom Reid.

He is survived by: his wife Edna Backhus of Tampa; his children, Brad Backhus of Tampa and Bev Reid; his sisters, Ruth Taylor, Alice Yoachum and Lydia Evans; his grandchildren, Jennifer Jay (Mike) and Jason Backhus (Alisha); and his great grandchildren, Cody Jay, Emery Jay and Tucker Backhus. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
