He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Schafer and Mollie Schafer (Meier); his daughter Kelli Kidd (Craig Schmitt) of McPherson; his grandchildren, Canon Schafer and Sage Schafer; his son Cody Schafer Schafer (Shaina) of Tampa; and his cousins, Bonnie Funk (Hillsboro), Rita Biesel (Hillsboro) and Darla Crays (Fort Scott).
