It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Viola Lear (Hiawatha, Kansas), born in Falls City, Nebraska, who passed away on March 11, 2018, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Godferd Hunker and Elizabeth Bertram Hunker; and her siblings, Alice Hunker, Grace Schulenberg, Helen Schlosser, Lisette Jondrow (Timmy), Floyd Hunker, Roy Hunker, Wilbur Hunker, Earl Hunker and John Hunker.
She is survived by: her spouse Samuel Lear; and her brother Donald Hunker (Jack) of Berkley. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorials be made to the Olive Branch Cemetery and may be sent in care of the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, 124 S. 7th St. Hiawatha, KS 66434.
