With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas E. Johansen Sr. of Hiawatha, Kansas, who passed away on February 18, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold James and Edna Mae Brammer Johansen; and his brothers, Roy and James Harold. He is survived by: his daughter Christina Burton; his wife Mary Renteria; his children, TJ (Cindi), Matt, Phillip and Tonya; and his siblings, Hazel, Pat, Barb, Betty, John, Sandra, Susan and David. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home (124 S 7th St, Hiawatha, KS 66434). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Fisher Community Center (201 E Iowa St, Hiawatha, KS 66434).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to be left in care or sent to help with funeral expenses at the funeral home.
