He is survived by: his wife Rosie Coots; his children, Angela Hollister (Brett) of Horton, Elizabeth Robbins (Michael) of Kansas City, Missouri, Kelly Coots (Jennifer) of Belton, Eric Coots (Lisa) of Hiawatha, Kyle Coots (Amanda) of Perry and Ryan Coots (Maagan) of Belton, Missouri; and his siblings, Mildred Miller of Clinton, Evelyn Landon of Topeka, Kansas, Teresa Hayes of Topeka, Kansas, Mary Jane Robinson of Topeka, Kansas, Terrence Coots of Atchison and Richard Coots of Atchison. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the St. Leo's Catholic Church and may be sent in care of the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas.
