Janet M. Jacobsen Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet M. Jacobsen of Hiawatha, Kansas, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 4, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Neil Larimer and Gertrude Thompson Larimer; her husbands, Melvin and Allen J. Jacobsen; her son Randy (Chris); and her brother Paul Larimer.
She is survived by: her daughter Pat Bearce (Bill); her grandchildren, Carma Ricklefs (Jimmy), Lindsey Shannon and Brady Bearce; her stepchildren, Melissa Jacobsen, Amy Jacobsen (David Ulferts) and Aaron Jacobsen (Deb); her stepgrandchildren, Eben Kohtz, Anna Ulferts, Anson and Avery Jacobsen; and her sister-in-law Dawna Larimer. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home (124 S 7th St, Hiawatha, KS 66434).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Brown County Humane Society sent in care of the funeral home, 124 S 7th St., Hiawatha 66434.
