Hillis Duane Bowen Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 30, 2023, at the age of 95, Hillis Duane Bowen of Hiawatha, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Phil Bowen and Edna Bowen; his wife Mary Beth; his brother Delayne; his sister-in-law Marjorie Bowen; and his daughter-in-law Georgia.
He is survived by: his children, Terry of Hiawatha, KS, Beth Scheve (Mark) of Topeka, KS, Karen Bruemmer (Dale) of Jefferson City, MO and Katherine Wingert (Harold) of Ottawa, KS; and his brother Ronald Bowen (Mary Lou) of Muscotah, KS. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to Fairview Willing Workers 4-H club or Prairie Winds Hospice, in care of Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, 124 S. 7th Street, Hiawatha, KS 66434.
