She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter F. Cawood and Ada Mae Stiles Cawood; her son Walter Herbert Kling; her grandson Jeremy Coots; and her sisters, Margaret Cawood, Geraldine Holden and Madelyn Bonte.

She is survived by: her children, Nancy Horne (Robert) of Alta Vista, KS, Melodye Hathaway (Roger) of Hiawatha, KS, Kent Kling of Ponca City, OK and Denise Wolney (Jim) of Hiawatha, KS.; and her grandchildren, LaDonna Flynn (Brad) of Pittsburg, KS, Scott Horne (Lisa) of Alta Vista, KS, Bartholomew Kling (Lori) of Ponca City, OK, Sabrina Shults (James) of Greeneville, TN, Amanda S. Coots of Atchison, KS, Jillian Darnall (Daniel) of Glasco, KS, Colby Gilbert of Glasco, KS and Tess Wolney of Hiawatha, KS. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
