He was predeceased by: his father Henry R.; his wife Carol; his parents-in-law, Pete and Lillie Heinrichs; his siblings, Ruth Isaac, Harry Friesen, Alfred Friesen and Benjamin Friesen; and his siblings-in-law, Hilda Friesen, Abe Isaac, Joyce Friesen, Wanda, Richard Harms, Lowell and Bonnie Heinrichs.
He is survived by: his children, Randal, Mary Helen (Hayes), Nancy Friesen, Stewart Gehring (Chicago), Jenny and John Fast; his grandchildren, Peter, Katrina Friesen (Eyster), Stephanie Friesen, Dorian Gehring, Sima Cunningham, Karlyn Gehring, Evan, Kelli Fast (Kroeker) and Isaac Fast; his great grandchildren, Elias Fast, Emilia Fast and Zulal Gehring; and his sisters-in-law, Verda Friesen, Mary Friesen and Janice Friesen. He is also survived by nieces & nephews.
