Velma Swartzendruber Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Velma Swartzendruber of Hesston, Kansas, born in Newton, Kansas, who passed away on February 14, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Reuben Ewy and Helen Ewy (Vogt); her children, Sharon Weaver (Carl) of Hesston, Stanley Swartzendruber (Sharon) of Hesston and Mafra Maust (Rene) of Goshen, Indiana.; her husband Gene Swartzendruber; and her brother Earl Ewy. She was also cherished by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The timing of Gene's death, along with Covid restrictions, prohibited a memorial service for Gene.
