She was predeceased by: her parents, Abe Goertzen and Annie Goertzen (Goertzen); her husband Mel Martens; and her brothers, Edward and Vernon Goertzen.

She is survived by: her former husband Melvin Roy Martens August; her friend Roy Unruh; her husband Roy Unruh; her sons, Kim (Glenda) of Derby, KS, Kent (Des) and Keith (Sandi) of Hesston, KS; her grandchildren, Parker Robinson, John Martens (Roxanne), Alex Martens (Kate), McKenzie Martens, Grant Martens, Kate Martens and Connor Martens; and her great grandchild John Martens.

Memorial donations may be made to Mennonite Disaster Service, Faith Mennonite Church or Schowalter Villa in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
