It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Merwin Frye in Hesston, Kansas, born in Little River, Kansas, who passed away on February 26, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Birchard and Martha Elizabeth Frye (Willinger); his brother Eldon Dee; and his sister-in-law Sue Frye (Sponamore). He is survived by: his wife Lenna Frye of Hesston; his sons, Robin Ross Frye (Karen) of Lewisville and Rick Erwin Frye (Alma) of Grand Prairie; his granddaughter Elizabeth Jane Frye; and his stepgrandchildren, Rachel Diaz, Michael Diaz, David Diaz and Elizabeth Diaz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Little River Congregational Church in Little River or the Hospice and HomeCare of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchison, KS 67501.
