It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lois M. Thiessen of Hesston, Kansas, born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 7, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Aaron O. Stauffer and Mary G. Stauffer (Musser); and her siblings, Katie Stauffer, Elizabeth Burkhart, Verna Musser, Eva Fox, Enos Stauffer, Jack Stauffer and Alfred Stauffer.

She is survived by: her husband Harvey Thiessen of Hesston; her children, Julie Buller (David) of Lawrence and Murray Thiessen (Lisa) of Palisade, Colorado; her grandchildren, Riley, Sydney Buller, Travis Thiessen (Haley) and Abby Thiessen; her sister Mary Jane Rutter (Charles) of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; and her sisters-in-law, Ruth Anne Stauffer of Lititz and Linda Stauffer of Newton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Central Committee (MCC), Good Shepherd Hospice or West Zion Mennonite Church, in care of Miller-Ott Funeral Home, PO Box 32, Hesston, KS 67062.
