He was predeceased by: his parents, George Duerksen and Mathilda "Tillie" Duerksen (Boese); his wife Mary Jane Curry; his son David Duerksen; his sister Phyllis Unruh (Paul C.); and his brothers-in-law, Romney J. Ketterman and Marlow Ediger.
He is survived by: his children, Laurie Duerksen of Hesston, Jon Duerksen of Newton and Kevin Duerksen (Kathleen) of Newton; his grandchildren, Tabitha Hughes (Ryan) of Halstead and Jacob Duerksen of Newton; and his sisters, Cora Ketterman of Prairie Village and Mary Ediger of North Newton.
