With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene Allen McBride of Hesston, Kansas, born in Friend, Nebraska, who passed away on April 12, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred McBride and Grace McBride (Schmidt); his former wife Areta Longenecker; and his siblings, Twyla McNeff and Galen McBride.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Jantzen (Fast); his daughter Jeanette Stangland (Gary); his stepdaughters, Ellen Miles (Matt) and Martha Bragg; his grandsons, Eric Stangland (Devon) and Jason Stangland (Joli); his great grandchild Calvin Stangland; his stepgrandchildren, Jazzmin Bragg, Regal Bragg, Georgia Johnson, Micayla Shrimpton (Joel), Macy Miles and Mattie Miles; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Gianna and Imani Wade; and his siblings, Norma Longenecker, Valerie Ross, Wayne McBride (Joyce), Dwayne McBride (Sharon) and LaVonne Abela (Chuck).
