He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Beckham; his parents, Wick Beckham and Gladys Beckham; and his siblings, Dortha Anne Bargen and Hugh Beckham.
He is survived by: his children, Christine Carlton (Robert) of Hesston, KS, Jan Hodges (Dallas) of Broken Arrow, OK. and Dwight Jr. (Kathy) of Wichita, KS; his grandchildren, Steve Girk (Heather) of Bradenton, FL., Stuart Girk (Brittni) of Lenexa, KS, Julia Collins (Noah) of Colorado Springs, CO., Russel Beckham, Sidney Beckham of Newton and Lauren Hodges of Broken Arrow, OK.; and his brother Kenneth Beckham (Joan) of St. Charles, MO.. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren, four nieces, four nephews, several great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests the memorials be made to the Newton Mid Kansas Symphony Orchestra, 120 W. 6th Street, Newton, Kansas 67114.
