We are sad to announce that on August 2, 2022, at the age of 79, Mary Margaret Tharp of Herington, Kansas, born in Trenton, Missouri passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Margaret Tharp to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Vanderpool and Mary Vanderpool (Mantlo); her husband Virgil Tharp; and her brothers, George, James and Bob.

She is survived by: her daughter Kay Childress (Gary) of Herington; and her brother William Vanderpool (Betty) of Iowa. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Herington, at 210 E. Hawley St, Herington, KS 67449, or Shriners Hospital for Children at 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL, 33607.
