He was predeceased by: his parents, Charley Bayes and Maggie Bayes (Friedli). He is survived by: his wife Beverly Lee of Herington; his sons, Kevin Bayes (Rose) of Herington, Kelly Bayes (Catherine) of Kansas City and Collin Bayes (Kimberly) of Derby; and his grandchildren, Bertina Barrett, Aaron Bayes, Idana McNamara (Jerry), Tim Bayes (Jennifer), Rodney Bayes, Chardy Magnett (Tony), Bailey Bayes, Jake Bayes (Julia), Austin Bayes (Nicole) and Brian Bayes (Jordan).
The family is requesting memorial contributions to the Herington Municipal Hospital Foundation and Woodbine Methodist Church in care of Yazel-Megli Funeral Home, 404 Broadway, Herington, KS 67449.
