It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Connie Alvarez of Herington, Kansas, born in Lost Springs, Kansas, who passed away on January 4, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolfo Gonzales and Julia Gonzales (Yturriago); her husband Joe J. Alvarez, Sr.; and her siblings, Carmen Gonzales, Virginia Reszcznski, Juanita "Janie" Heitfield and Delfina Nobels.
She is survived by: her children, Joe Alvarez, Jr. (Barb) of Hillsboro, Ruby Kilmer (Jeff) of Herington, Ronald Alvarez (Cheryl) of El Dorado, Carmen Alvarez (Linda) of Chapman, Angela Seifert (Steve) of Marion and Tony Alvarez (Amanda) of Hastings, NE; and her siblings, Margaret Roedinger of Herington, Nick Gonzolas of Herington, Mary Klenda of Hillsboro, Cicelia La Pante of Hillsboro and Kenny Gonzales of Sirico, IL.. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren.
