Merwin was predeceased by: parents, Lawrence Scyoc and Mayme Van Scyoc; and siblings, Jerry, John and Vesta Van Scyoc.

Merwin is survived by: wife Wilda Van Scyoc; son Randall Van Scyoc (Nova) of Haysville; brother Larry Van Scyoc (Marlene) of Fairland, OK; granddaughter Tara Smith; and great grandchildren, Ethan, Blake and Allyson.
