He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Stevens; his parents, John Stevens and Flora Stevens; his siblings, Edward Stevens, Melvin "Conway" Stevens, Ernest "Bud" Stevens, Charles Stevens and Gladys Engles; and his grandchild Ashley Hopkins.
He is survived by: his children, Sherrie Hopkins (David) of Peck, Ronny Stevens (Karen) of Clearwater, Brenda Vickers (Steve) of Wichita, Verna Trower of Wichita and Ed Stevens (Jessica) of Wichita; and his siblings, Benny Stevens (Judy) of Mountain View, AR, JT Stevens (Sharon) of Mountain View, AR, Joyce Carlton of Prim, AR and Larry Stevens (Debbie) of Clearwater. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shinkle Mortuary (146 N Lamar Ave, Haysville, KS 67060). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
